2 1/2 cups sifted flour
3/4 cup butter
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1/2 cup Steen's Pure Cane Syrup
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsps vanilla
1 1/2 cups chopped nuts


Blend flour, sugar and salt. Cut in butter. Stir in syrup and vanilla until dough is smooth. Chill dough for at least 1 hour. Break off small lumps of dough and shape into “logs” about 3 inches long. Roll in chopped nuts and arrange on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes.

YIELD: 3 dozen 3 ½ inch logs
